PROJECT 51

City: Kyiv

Project manager: Sofia Drozd

Technology Readiness Level: 7

WarScan is a platform for monitoring war-related damage to agricultural fields in Ukraine using satellite data and artificial intelligence. It provides vector outlines of damaged areas, raster maps of local damages, and data on the type, area, and date of detection of these damages. The main consumers include farmers, consulting companies, international organizations (World Bank, UN), and research institutions.

WarScan helps make informed decisions regarding planting, resource management, and financial planning, as well as providing datasets useful for scientific research. Revenue is expected from data sales and subscriptions, which include three pricing plans with varying data accessibility, spatial resolution, and levels of detail in the analysis of field conditions.
